Position Overview

The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for pursuing and acquiring high-value strategic accounts, primarily focusing on large cities and municipalities in North America. This role requires a sophisticated sales approach, focusing on building relationships with executive-level decision-makers, influencing multi-year deals, and driving significant growth. The Strategic Account Executive will serve as a trusted advisor, understanding the unique challenges faced by large clients and delivering tailored solutions that demonstrate Verra Mobility’s market leadership. Success in this role will depend on the ability to manage complex sales cycles, build long-term partnerships, and develop new opportunities with key strategic accounts.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities with top-tier strategic accounts in major cities and municipalities
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships to influence long-term strategic decisions within client organizations
  • Create and execute customized account plans that align with the client’s long-term goals and Verra Mobility’s solutions
  • Manage complex sales cycles, often involving multiple stakeholders, lengthy procurement processes, and contract negotiations
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product, engineering, and customer success, to ensure solutions are aligned with client needs and deliver maximum value
  • Lead strategic conversations that position Verra Mobility as a market leader in traffic safety, smart mobility, and enforcement solutions
  • Deliver strategic insights and thought leadership to clients, helping them understand the benefits of Verra Mobility’s products and services
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales targets, with a focus on securing large, multi-year deals
  • Track and report progress on strategic initiatives in the CRM system, ensuring accurate forecasting and data integrity
  • Represent Verra Mobility at industry events, conferences, and other opportunities to engage with strategic clients
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitive offerings, and industry regulations to inform strategy and client discussions
  • Access registered vehicle information 

Qualifications

  • BS, BA or MS Degree
  • Minimum 7+ years SaaS / solution selling
  • Government / Public Sector experience is strongly preferred
  • Consistent performance to sales quota and proven track record of securing large, multi-year contracts with complex accounts
  • Deep experience building relationships and managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong oral, written, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence and deliver tailored, high-value solutions that address the unique challenges of strategic accounts
  • Required to travel independently locally and / or regionally.
  • Experience with Salesforce.  General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Successful completion of NLETS fingerprinting background check
