Position Overview:

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Project Manager who is highly motivated to improve road safety for the customer and to the public, to meet the Company goals, support the delivery of the Project Services team and develop your own career.  The person responsible for accomplishing project outcomes including defining and communicating clear objectives, coordinating project resource requirements such as labour, equipment, and technology, and effectively managing cost, time, scope and quality constraints.

Essential Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will contribute to Company and the Operations Department’s effectiveness and efficiency through the following responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives.
  • Prepare comprehensive and effective Project Management Plans (PMP)
  • Forecasting of workload to ensure adequate resourcing of execution of client contracts.
  • Actively tracking SAP project financials (revenue and cost budgets) throughout the project lifecycle
  • Tracking and reporting of project progress
  • Preparation of written project reports, handover, and applicable documentation
  • Assist in management of subcontractors/suppliers and subcontractor/supplier engagement.
  • Coordinate activities, resources, equipment, and information.
  • Coordination of contractors and field staff to meet project deliverables.
  • Address ad hoc technical and operational enquiries from customers that require investigation.
  • Prepare project proposals, timeframes, schedule, and budget.
  • Influence stakeholders across all functions to deliver project outcomes.
  • Escalate extensions to scope and new work orders to the Commercial team.
  • Use project management tools to monitor working hours, budget, plans, and money spend.
  • Issue paperwork, create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
  • Ensure all project activities are executed in accordance with Redflex’s Occupational Health and Safety and Quality policies.
  • Attend all required corporate and safety training.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for client meetings and project supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or qualification in Business, Engineering or Project Management
  • PMP, Prince2 or PMPOK accreditations highly regarded.
  • A current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s licence

Role Key Performance Indicators

  • Project Margin planned vs actual.
  • Accuracy of project cost and revenue forecast
  • Minimisation of project financial WIP by proactively invoicing client as early as possible
  • Project Schedule performance, all key project milestones met.
  • Use of requirements management to minimise project scope creep.

Workplace Health and Safety

  • Actively engage in conversations regarding WHS, including providing potential improvements to reduce WHS risks.
  • Understand and adhere to the requirements of the WHS management system.
  • Immediately communicates and report hazards and incidents.
