Verra Mobility is a global leader in smart mobility. We develop technology-enabled solutions that help the world move safely and easily. We are fostering the development of safe cities, working with police departments and municipalities to install over 4,000 red-light, speed, and school bus stop arm safety cameras across North America. We are also creating smart roadways, serving the world's largest commercial fleets and rental car companies to manage tolling transactions and violations for over 8.5 million vehicles. And we are a leading provider of connected systems, processing nearly 165 million transactions each year across 50+ individual tolling authorities.

Position Overview:

Verra Mobility is seeking a Business Analyst for the Financial Operations function. This role sits at the intersection of operations and working capital, working closely with Operations and other business stakeholders to manage Verra Mobility's toll authority accounts and associated funding and replenishment activities. This individual will work on high volume transactional processes and requires advanced Excel skills, comfort operating a daily control process under tight deadlines, and a fine eye for detail.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support toll account management processes, including but not limited to account opening, ongoing administration and replenishment activities.
  • Comfort making daily funding decisions where underfunding disrupts customer experience and overfunding ties up cash
  • Ensure methods of payment (i.e. credit cards, ACH) are approved and secured by Verra Mobility’s Treasury team
  • Retrieve and review toll account statements on each toll authority's publication cycle, confirming that posted tolls, fees, and replenishment draws agree to internal records
  • Extract relevant toll data from toll accounts and ensure proper inputs to Verra Mobility tolling systems
  • Perform invoice reconciliations and analysis, identifying potential savings opportunities
  • Understand customized client and vendor setups and how they impact operational activities
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required

Qualifications:

  • Financial or accounting experience highly preferred; exposure to treasury operations, cash forecasting, or working capital management a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills a must
  • Strong data analytics skills required, including large-volume transactional datasets
  • Strong problem-solving skills, demonstrating sound judgment in balancing risk against efficiency
  • A sense of urgency with strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Strong organization and communication skills required
  • Ownership mentality and the discipline to run a recurring daily control process without prompting
  • Experience with Oracle databases, SQL statement creation, and VBA a plus
