What you’ll be doing… 

As a Field Services Supervisor at Verra Mobility, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the deployment of Automated Photo Enforcement Systems across active work zones throughout the state. You will be responsible for ensuring that the team achieves the operational standards of 99% deployment execution and a 95% issuance rate. This position requires daily reporting to the regional depot and demands a blend of technical expertise coupled with strong customer support experience. In this role, your leadership will be crucial in motivating your team and driving transformative changes within the organization. You will be accountable for delivering operational performance through the management of quality metrics, ensuring adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs). Your ability to solve complex problems, think critically, and communicate effectively will be essential to your success and that of your team.   • Directly manage an adequately staffed team of full-time and temporary mobile operators based on seasonality, including responsibilities for hiring, analyzing performance metrics, and executing disciplinary actions as needed. 
  • Collaborate closely with Field Service, Client Service, and Account Managers to identify areas for improvement and enhance client relations. 
  • Develop and maintain weekly schedules for the team to optimize operational efficiency while considering budgetary constraints and expenses. 
  • Conduct routine weekly field audits of operators to ensure adherence to standards and operational effectiveness. 
  • Maintain inventory levels for both the Depot and vehicles, ensuring that all operational supplies are readily available for team use. 
  • Diagnose and perform repairs on equipment and enforcement systems to ensure maximum system availability and reliability. 
  • Strategically prioritize, plan, and execute work efforts to ensure a balanced workload across the team. 
  • Ensure that all deployments are completed in compliance with state legislation and current program standards. 
  • Oversee the triaging and resolution of deployments within agreed service-level agreements (SLAs). 
  • Maintain full compliance with SLA requirements related to Field Services to drive operational success. 

What we’re looking for… 

You are a proactive team leader in mobile operations management, recognized for your ability to drive successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Your strong organizational skills and attention to detail enable you to effectively oversee a diverse group of 8-15 mobile operators, ensuring optimal performance and team cohesion. By collaborating with Field Service and Client Service teams, you identify areas for improvement and enhance client relations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your expertise in workforce management allows you to create efficient schedules while maintaining strict adherence to operational budgets. With a commitment to maintaining compliance with state legislation and program standards, you conduct routine audits and manage inventory effectively, ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Your hands-on approach to diagnosing and repairing equipment ensures system reliability, demonstrating your dedication to operational excellence and results-driven leadership. 

 

You’ll need to have… 

  • A High School Diploma or GED 
  • Minimum 4 years of experience of increasing responsibility in operations and/or field services roles.  
  • Minimum 2 years of effective people leadership including demonstrated skills ranging from work direction, motivation, coaching/feedback, and developing assigned staff with the expected outcome of a consistently positive client experience and attainment of SLA’s.  

 

Even better if you have one or more of the following: 

 

  • Associate’s degree in Operation Management, Business Management, Logistics and Supply Chain, and/or Construction Management 
  • Experience in the Photo Enforcement Industry. 
  • Experience with Office products like Excel, PowerPoint to generate reports. 
  • Qualified candidates will possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities and show initiative, as evidenced by constructing and analyzing data to evaluate performance and transactional quality of an evolving and complex business. 
  • OSHA or other safety training certifications.

Work Environment 

  • As a Field Service Supervisor, you may have some exposure to outside weather conditions such as wet and/or humid environments, extreme cold and/or heat, dusty and noisy work environments.  
  • Noise levels will typically be moderate to moderately loud.  
  • You may also be exposed to high, precarious places in work at heights more than 10 feet.  
  • You will regularly work near moving traffic and occasional night work with reduced visibility.   
  • Up to 50% travel (i.e. site visits), working outdoors or driving.  

Physical Requirements:  

  • You will be involved primarily with field work on outside construction/service sites involving long-term standing and perhaps repetitive motions. You must have the ability to stand or sit for long periods of time and to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.  
  • You will need to have the ability to use your hands to handle, finger or feel; reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit. Frequent ladder use is required with the ability to climb, descend, balance and work safely at heights on ladders and aerial lifts for long periods at time. 
  • You will need a good driving record and must have the ability to see including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus. You may be required to drive hundreds of miles per day. Field Supervisor must not have any limitations that would reduce their ability to drive a vehicle safely to job sites.  
  • You will regularly lift and/or maneuver awkward equipment up to 50 pounds from vehicle and ground, occasionally lift and handle awkward equipment up 25 pounds up and down a ladder. 
  • Field employees will be asked to wear protective equipment while in the field which can include reflective gear, work boots, safety glasses, hard hats.  The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
