Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior People Experience Strategist to design and deliver programs that enhance our culture, elevate the employee experience, and drive engagement throughout the entire employee lifecycle. This individual contributor role is a key member of the People Experience team and will play a central role in shaping how thousands of employees across 15 countries and seven business units feel engaged, recognized, and inspired throughout their journey with us.

As a Senior People Experience Strategist, you will:

  • Lead our employee lifecycle surveys – Design, deploy, and analyze onboarding, exit, and engagement surveys (using tools such as Viva Glint and Great Place to Work® Emprising™ platform), with a strong focus on delivering actionable insights that improve our overall engagement.
  • Own recognition strategy and tools – Manage our recognition platform (AwardCo), ensure program adoption, and evolve recognition initiatives that celebrate and reinforce our culture and values.
  • Design and drive charitable giving programs – Establish annual strategies and budgets, oversee donations, manage our giving platform, and engage leaders and employees in volunteerism and community impact.
  • Turn insights into action – Translate survey and program data into clear recommendations, reporting on impact and partnering with leaders and HRBPs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure smooth platform operations – Maintain and enhance our engagement, recognition, and giving platforms, partnering with HR Shared Services, HRIS, IT, and vendors to troubleshoot, update, and integrate systems effectively.
  • Be a trusted collaborator – Work cross-functionally with HR and business leaders, and partner heavily with Employee Communications to design campaigns that connect programs to our culture and business goals.

This role reports to the Senior Director of People Experience, and you can expect high levels of collaboration and partnership with Employee Communications, HR leadership team, HR Business Partners, and talent across Talent Management, Total Rewards, HRIS, People Analytics, and IT. We will measure your success by your ability to achieve the role’s objectives and your performance in alignment with Verra Mobility’s core values and leadership competencies.

This role is an opportunity to make a direct and lasting impact on how employees experience work every day. You’ll join a collaborative People Experience team that is shaping the future of engagement, recognition, and culture in a global, purpose- and values-driven company.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience owning, designing and executing measurable HR/People programs that support business objectives and improve employee engagement.
  • Demonstrated record of professional achievement in designing, managing, and evolving large-scale employee surveys across the employee lifecycle, measuring results, and designing action plans with proven impact.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to determine strategy, analyze results, and turn insights into clear storytelling and recommendations.
  • Experience successfully managing high-impact, high-visibility projects in collaboration with multiple stakeholders and functions.
  • Passion for culture, recognition, and community impact, with a track record of delivering programs that make employees feel engaged, connected, and inspired.
  • High proficiency with engagement and recognition platforms, with experience in systems such as Viva Glint, AwardCo, and the Great Place to Work® Emprising™ platform a strong plus; experience administering content and programs within a CMS is required.
  • Advanced knowledge and application of the Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Highly collaborative and influential; skilled at building strong partnerships with senior leaders, HR stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.
  • Familiarity with/interest in using insights from AI-enabled tools and/or software with embedded AI capabilities to enhance employee experience is a plus
  • Experience working in a global, public company operating across multiple countries or in a parent/subsidiary or portfolio company model is a plus
