As we support the growing needs of our global customers with our market leading technical solutions, we look to engage a committed, full time, Warehouse & inventory Clerk to work alongside our talented supply chain team at our National Head Office based in South Melbourne.

This is a permanent, full-time role, requiring 5 days working from our Head Office (8.30am-4.30pm approx.)

The role: 

As our Warehouse & Inventory Clerk, you will be an organised, logical thinker who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Working as a key part of our Purchasing & Logistics team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the accurate and efficient management of inventory associated with the maintenance and production of our innovative road safety tech products. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing materials, inspecting incoming shipments, organising inventory, and coordinating with other departments to fulfill critical client orders.

As a Warehouse & Inventory Clerk at Verra Mobility you will: 

  • Inventory Management: Receive, store, and dispatch goods, manage inventory transactions in SAP, and handle return to stock items.
  • Quality Control: Identify discrepancies in picking slips and bills of materials and verify receipt and quantities of materials.
  • Logistics Coordination: Prepare requisitions, route shipments, and ensure outgoing shipments meet specifications.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe inventory warehouse and storerooms. 
  • Support and Optimization: Assist production with material requests, participate in cycle counts and stock takes, and implement Kanban systems. 
  • Collaboration and Compliance: Work cooperatively with all stakeholders, recommend process improvements, and adhere to company policies and standards.

They are a clear and concise communicator who excels at building relationships and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as they embrace both reactive and scheduled work assignments. Accountability and quality are paramount, and they thrive on constructive feedback. A passion for customer advocacy is essential. The perfect candidate will possess knowledge of electronic components, manufacturing experience, and demonstrated expertise in safe manual handling practices. Proficiency in SAP and ERP, along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel, is required. Experience in shipping practices and strong communication skills are a must, along with a valid Australian Drivers LicenseA current Forklift License is highly desirable.
