Position Overview

Verra Mobility is hiring a full-time Manager, Accounts Receivable for its Title and Registration business unit. This is a key position that contributes to success by driving improved cash flow and working capital through timely invoicing, cash applications and effective A/R management.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily management of all billing and cash application activities and timely management of all AR aging components
  • Serves as the point of escalation for complex and/or ongoing AR risk and partners with internal stakeholders for resolution
  • Collaborates with other department personnel to determine root cause of process errors and associated process improvement solutions
  • Serves as business owner of billing applications and supports the development of IT initiatives and production enhancements
  • Reviews and develops business processes to increase efficiency, enhance productivity, and improve customer experience
  • Responsible for the completion and oversight of applicable internal SOX controls on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Sets expectations and establishes service standards/metrics for the AR team
  • Ensures the team maintains a high level of service by demonstrating prompt and thorough attention to issues and requests
  • Establishes and implements short- and long-term department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years leading accounts receivable and cash application groups
  • Must be able to travel to FL and TX locations, as needed (0-25% of the time)
  • Prior credit management and collections experience, preferred
  • Proficiency working in receivables, GL account coding and financial reporting systems with demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to change and learn new systems
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, necessary to build and maintain relationships and interact well across all levels
  • Process oriented with strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple activities or sources of information
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and drive a highly engaged team by building trust, credibility, and consensus
  • Highly proficient Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in NetSuite and Oracle Fusion a plus
