Position Overview

As a Senior QA you are part of a team that tests applications used by our Commercial Services customers.  This person participates in testing web-based applications and windows services while working with other Verra Mobility testing team-members sharing knowledge and experience to help enhance Verra’s QA competency.  To be successful in this role, you must display robust interpersonal skills, have a high aptitude for technical learning. Be approachable and willing to engage quickly, multi-task efficiently, demonstrate discipline and initiative to consistently solve complex problems in a fluid, fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of composure, transparency, and professionalism during daily interaction with peers, customers, management, and external partners. 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Requirement Analysis and designing detailed test cases and procedures from requirement specifications 
  • Test new applications and repeatable testing for existing products 
  • Ensure all product releases meet or exceed defined quality goals 
  • Iterative Development and Release Management process experience in an Agile Scrum environment 
  • Define the scope for regression testing and end to end testing 
  • Work with business analysts, development teams, and internal groups to ensure customer requirements are met 
  • Lead projects and ensure QA milestones are met as per the timelines 
  • Attends design review and user meetings as required 
  • Documents test cases and defects as needed 
  • Performs execution of test plan, continually analyzing test efforts for completeness 
  • Performs system integration, functional, volume, user interface and performance testing on modifications and enhancements before production releases through manual and automated techniques 
  • Create, maintain, and run automated test scripts using Selenium or Play Wright tools 
  • Analyzes failure/success of automated scripts and makes modifications as required 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 7-10 years in software quality assurance focused on Web-based application testing and back-end systems 
  • 5-7 years of experience with Windows operating systems and applications 
  • 5-7 years of experience writing test cases and test plans 
  • 5-7 years of experience using QA testing tools like Azure DevOps, Selenium/Play Wright and SQL related tools 
  • Experience with Iterative Development in an Agile Scrum environment 
  • Ability to conduct functional testing, regression testing, system-level integration testing, end-to-end testing, and acceptance testing 
  • Have a firm understanding of SQL or PL/SQL and relational database concepts 
  • In-depth understanding of software development processes and methodologies including their documentation and creation 
  • Experience in testing APIs • Knowledge and experience with version control and defect tracking systems 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and task responsibilities simultaneously and switch among them quickly to meet prioritized business needs 
  • Gather, use and analyze defect metrics data to present analysis findings to the appropriate levels of management verbally and through the preparation of periodic written reports. 

Nice to have:

  • Good understanding of writing tests using standard frameworks like nUnit/TestNG 
  • Excellent organization and time management skills 
  • Exposure to SSRS and Crystal report solutions
