Position Overview:  Verra Mobility is actively seeking a highly motivated Validation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, compliance, and performance of our hardware solutions. As a Validation Engineer, you’ll collaborate with senior engineers, conduct rigorous testing, and contribute to innovative hardware designs. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative Development: Partner closely with senior engineers to validate new hardware solutions (cameras, radars, batteries, mechatronics). Provide support and enhancements for existing solutions through thorough testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • System-Level Design Validation: Apply comprehensive system-level design validation. Integrate electrical and mechanical elements into innovative hardware solutions. Verify compliance with design specifications. Incorporate software automation practices for efficiency.
  • Software Automation Testing: Utilize software automation tools and methodologies. Enhance efficiency in testing during design, development, deployment, and production phases. Validate functionality, performance, and safety.
  • Design Testing and Evaluation: Conduct rigorous testing processes. Analyze test data to ensure reliability and compliance. Troubleshoot issues and iterate designs for efficiency. Validate hardware functionality (e.g., cameras, radars).
  • Documentation and Reporting: Generate detailed technical validation documentation:
  • Test reports, compliance records, and validation protocols. Present findings and progress reports to relevant teams and management.
  • Innovation and Research: Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in hardware components. Contribute to ongoing research efforts for hardware improvement and innovation.

Qualifications: 

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in hardware engineering, specifically focusing on validation and testing. Exposure to software automation practices.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in hardware design principles and methodologies. Proficiency in CAD software and experience with simulation tools (design and analysis).
  • Collaborative Skills: Excellent team player. Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly.
  • Innovative Mindset: Keen interest in innovation, problem-solving, and proactive hardware enhancement.
  • Must be local and okay with coming into office 5 days a week.
