Position Overview:

Verra Mobility is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager, FP&A to join the growing Global FP&A team within the Government Solutions (GS) business unit at Verra Mobility. This role will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and optimizing financial performance within our organization while serving as the primary finance partner GS’s Commercial SVP.  You will collaborate closely with both leadership and working levels of the Sales/Account Management to provide financial insights, analysis, and strategic guidance to support decision-making and maximize profitable revenue growth. This position will report directly to the Director of Global FP&A in a highly visible role.

Essential Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Budgeting:

  • Become the financial subject matter expert on GS’s vast customer base and the associated contractual terms that drive GS revenue.
  • Collaborate with sales and account management teams to develop annual and monthly revenue forecasts and establish department expense budgeting.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to Commercial leadership by offering transparent reporting and proactively recommending and driving countermeasures to achieve company targets.
  • Provide financial support for strategic planning initiatives and business development opportunities.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Serve as the finance lead in the monthly Commercial Funnel Review meeting attended by the Verra Mobility CEO and CFO, this entails revenue data reporting and presentation on KPI status
  • Independently own and deliver regular reporting on revenue variances and expense budget variance within the commercial organization.
  • Interpret financial data and provide insights into revenue trends, cost drivers, and profitability metrics.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial close processes, including revenue recognition and accruals.

Sales Performance Analysis:

  • Evaluate sales backlog, net retention rates, and funnel optimize sales effectiveness.
  • Analyze revenue trends, market dynamics, and sales performance to forecast future revenue streams accurately.
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure sales team performance and track progress towards revenue goals.
  • Conduct scenario analysis to assess potential revenue impacts of various business decisions and market changes.
  • Partner with sales leaders to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance sales performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • 10+ years experience in financial analysis, revenue management or commercial finance roles.
  • Excellent composure and presentation skills to senior executive leadership audiences.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel skills. Salesforce experience a plus.
