Senior Business Analyst

This is a permanent, full time and hybrid role, working from home and our South Melbourne office.
The role:
As a Senior Business Analyst at Verra Mobility, you will guide and support the enhancement of our enterprise IT products and services. Your expertise will drive insightful analysis and recommendations, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing industry best practices. Collaborating closely with our global Product team and clients, you will gather requirements, shape User Stories, and ensure the seamless delivery of key functional software. This role extends beyond analysis and will play a pivotal part in supporting product demonstrations across various business sectors. Shape the future of road safety by developing solutions that save lives.
As a delivery focused Senior Business Analyst at Verra Mobility you will:
- Manage stakeholder relationships and facilitate requirement gathering, aligning with strategic objectives.
- Provide strategic guidance for prioritising development efforts to maximize early value delivery, adhering to Agile methodologies.
- Lead retrospectives to enhance team planning and workflow processes, ensuring alignment with broader business strategies.
- Develop and implement processes aligning business solutions with strategic goals, driving continuous improvement.
- Consult with stakeholders to define business objectives and success metrics, collaborating with team members to gather and analyze information.
- Present findings, document requirements, specifications, and User Stories, and coordinate with IT professionals to develop solutions meeting business needs.
Who are you?
The ideal candidate for this role brings over 5 years of enterprise IT experience and holds tertiary qualifications in a related discipline. Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and other relevant tools is essential. Strong planning, resource management, and communication skills enable effective engagement with software engineers and management. Analytical prowess and attention to detail facilitate seamless collaboration with technical and business stakeholders, leveraging technology to address challenges. You are highly adept in requirement gathering, strategic guidance for early value delivery, and in ensuring team alignment with broader business strategies. Your technical proficiency includes programming or scripting languages, while facilitating retrospectives fosters continuous improvement. Collaboration across departments ensures software solutions meet customer needs effectively.
